Fotoula Foteini Adrimi, BA (Hons), MSc, is an internationally respected shamanic teacher, healer and author whose work bridges ancient spiritual traditions with contemporary life. Born in Greece into a family with ancestral shamanic roots, Fotoula experienced the spirit world from childhood.

After initially following a conventional academic and professional path, she returned to spiritual practice in her early thirties. Her encounter with shamanic journeying in 2006 became a turning point, awakening a deep recognition of a path she felt she had always known. In 2009, she began leading her own shamanic circle in Glasgow, which continues today.

Over the past twenty years, Fotoula has studied shamanism, spiritual healing and ceremony with Western and indigenous teachers from different traditions. She completed Sandra Ingerman’s two-year Shamanic Teacher Training and is a member of the Global Shamanic Teachers network. Her studies have also taken her into Himalayan, Native American and Tibetan teachings, as well as vision quest, Medicine Wheel and ceremonial practices.

Fotoula is co-director of The ISIS School of Holistic Health, where she teaches shamanic practitioner training, healing, ceremony and the ancient Mystery traditions. She is also a Theosophist, serving as Membership Secretary of the Glasgow Lodge and, more recently, as Depute Organising Secretary for The Theosophical Society in Scotland. At the heart of Fotoula’s work is the understanding that shamanism is more than a collection of techniques: it is a living spiritual path and a way of remembering our relationship with the Earth, the unseen worlds and the luminous spirit within us.

She teaches internationally through courses, workshops, retreats and online programmes, and recently facilitated an online shamanic ceremony for more than 450 participants through The Shift Network.

Fotoula is the author of The Golden Book of Wisdom: Ancient Spirituality and Shamanism for Modern Times, Sacred Mysticism of Egypt: The Ancient Path of Heka Initiation, and her latest book, Discovering Shamanism: An Authentic Guide to Traditional Healing and Shamanic Practice.
